I left a successful career in the aerospace industry to pursue my dream of starting a safety solutions company in February of 2001. What started as a small operation out of a back bedroom of my house has grown into a thriving ecommerce company with a warehouse, employees, and tens of thousands of customers. I am humbled by this experience and I’m grateful for the customers we’ve served over the years.
In our first year of business, a handful of our loyal customers came to us with a request for products that they needed, but that were not commercially available at the time. I initiated the work to develop products to meet the needs of these customers. This is what led to the TurboErgo® line of products, which facilitated our company’s shift from consulting to product sales. With our early launch of less than a dozen products, we have now grown into a thriving ecommerce company with more than 1,500 different products on 6 different ecommerce sites.
Challenging economic times have not deterred us in our continued expansion. Our sales continue to grow and we have plans in place to add new ecommerce sites with specialty safety and lighting products for businesses and consumers alike. This wouldn’t be possible without our great employees who bring years of experience and a cheerful, hard-working attitude to our company.

Jeffrey Vaughan is founder and president of Vaughan Safety, Inc. Prior to starting his company, Jeffrey worked as an Occupational Safety & Health Professional for the Boeing Company in Everett, Washington, and prior to that, Jeffrey was a Safety Administrator for PacifiCorp, headquartered in Portland, Oregon. Jeffrey is active in his local community and enjoys spending time with his family in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
